Phil graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the summer of 2004, and has since been busy working as a Musical Director and Arranger/Orchestrator on various productions up and down the UK.
Since September 2007, Phil has been the Assistant Musical Director on Bill Kenwright’s UK tour of 'BLOOD BROTHERS', and is currently on his 5th consecutive tour, during which, he will reach his 1000th performance of the show!
Phil has been associated with the annual pantomimes at the Broadway, Barking since the first show at the venue in 2004. In 2008, Phil made his compositional debut with his original score for Sleeping Beauty, and followed it up the next year with a score for Dick Whittington.
Phil is arranger, Musical Director and co-producer of Musical Theatre Tribute show '…and all that jazz...' which was set up in 2007, and will this year hopefully be embarking on its biggest and most exciting tour yet
In the summer of 2007, Phil worked with award winning writers David Shire and Richard Maltby Jr, as copyist on their new production, 'TAKE FLIGHT', at the Mernier Chocolate Factory, the cast recording of which was released in February last year.
Phil also took on the role of Head of Music at the Finch Stage School this year.
Phil's extensive other Musical Director credits include productions of BARNUM, COPACABANA, CHILDREN OF EDEN, THE FULL MONTY, the London premiere of BIG RIVER, HIGH SOCIETY, BY JEEVES, HOT MIKADO, SEUSSICAL, UK Premiere of the re-write of Stiles and Drewe's JUST SO, A CHORUS LINE, CHESS, SWEET CHARITY, WEST SIDE STORY.
